Trouver un vrai champagne de vigneron à Paris, sans quitter la ville

Finding a real grower champagne in Paris, without leaving the city

Some people make the trip. An hour on the train, the Vallée de la Marne, the vines, the cellar, tasting on site. It's the best way to understand what you're drinking.

And then there's Paris. Where finding a genuine independent grower champagne, precise, traceable, made by one family in one cellar, is harder than it should be.

Rarer than you'd think. But it exists.

What's missing in most Paris wine shops

The majority of Parisian retail, from supermarkets to established wine merchants, stocks primarily well-known houses. That's not a flaw. It's commercial logic: the grand maisons have the volume, the recognition, and the sales teams to hold the shelf space.

A récoltant manipulant champagne, made in small quantities in a family cellar, doesn't distribute the same way. You have to know where to look.

Galeries Gourmandes: a shop that selects differently

At Porte Maillot in the 17th arrondissement, Galeries Gourmandes has built its reputation on a careful selection of independent producers. No references chosen for volume or marketing budget. Producers chosen for what they make and how they make it.

Our cuvées are listed there. You can find them in store, with a team that actually knows what they're selling.

What you'll find there

Every cuvée available at Galeries Gourmandes is made in our cellar in Brasles, Vallée de la Marne, from grapes grown exclusively on our own plots. Minimum three years aging on lees, entirely in-house winemaking, no cooperative involvement.

What you buy carries a name, an address, and a story we're happy to tell.
